Public Notice - The Crossroads at Washington is accepting applications

The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) will begin accepting applications for Project Based Voucher (PBV) units for persons experiencing homelessness on January 8, 2023. The project, hereafter known as Crossroads at Washington, is located at 1146 E. Washington, Santa Ana CA 92701.  The property will have 16 studio units, 26 one-bedroom units, and one two-bedroom unit.

Admission preference will be given for 20 one-bedroom units to applicants who are experiencing homelessness, are eligible for services under the Special Needs Housing Program and referred by the Orange County Coordinated Entry System (CES) to OCHA.  CES will verify homeless preference eligibility prior to referral to OCHA.

Individuals who are experiencing homelessness, currently on OCHA’s Housing Choice Voucher waiting list, and interested in applying for Crossroads at Washington may contact OCHA at (714) 480-2700 for information or dial 2-1-1 to be connected to an access point for households experiencing homelessness.

When calling 2-1-1 please ask to be connected to a CES access point, and 2-1-1 staff will provide you the contact information for the provider most appropriate to your circumstances in your service area. You may need to leave a message for a call back for an assessment appointment.
