Orange County Housing Authority Poster Contest

The Orange County Housing Authority is seeking participation in the “What Home Means to Me” poster contest.  Contest participation is open to all children in grades K-12 residing in affordable supported by OC Housing Authority and/or the County of Orange.  Entries must be created by only one person.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

Contest participation is open to all children in grades K-12 residing in affordable housing supported by OC Housing Authority and/or the County of Orange. Entries must be created by only one person. One winner will be selected per age category to be submitted for the National Competition.

Poster Specifications:

  • Theme: “What Home Means to Me”
  • Size: At least 8.5 x 11 (letter size) and up to 22 inches by 28 inches and have a landscape/horizontal orientation
  • Media: Any art media (marker, crayon, paint, collage, textiles, etc.)
  • All entries must be mailed flat
  • Please provide a short narrative (100 words or less) on the inspiration, vision, and importance of the poster design
  • Contestant’s name and grade level must be written on the back of the poster
  • All contestants must sign a release making their entry the property of OC Housing Authority and acknowledging the original posters will not be returned

*This contest is part of a national contest sponsored by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.

Age Categories:

  • Elementary: K - 5th Grade
  • Middle: 6th - 8th Grade
  • High: 9th - 12th Grade

All entries must be submitted by March 27, 2025, to be considered.
